RECALLED TOYS
The following toys were recalled last week because they contain lead paint:

● 200,000 Thomas & Friends Railway Toys distributed by RC2 Corp.
● 350,000 Happy Giddy Gardening Tools and children’s Sunny Patch Chairs sold by Target
● 800 “Knights of the Sword” toys distributed by RC2 Corp.
● 16.000 toy rakes sold by Jo-Ann Fabric Stores
● 10,000 puppet theaters manufactured by Guidecraft, Inc.
● 800 spinning wheel necklaces manufactured by Rhode Island Novelty
● 23,500 children’s jewelry sets imported by TOBY N.Y.C.

FREE LEAD TESTING
The Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program, run by the York City Health Bureau, offers free lead testing for children and information about lead poisoning.

Children ages 6 months to 7 years old should be tested,
according to a news release.

The city also offers case management for children with lead poisoning, follow-up testing and lead hazard risk assessments.

Testing is available 8:30 to 11 a.m. Mondays, 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays at the Albert S. Weyer Health Bureau Annex, 227 West Market Street
